Create Your Short-Drama Series

Craft a short series made up of multiple episodes. Your total runtime and episode count will depends on the league you choose.

No registration needed. Just submit your entry under the correct league (more on the leagues below) by 18 August 2025.

Creative Professionals League

For independent creators, small teams, or production houses ready to go big with bold, fictional storytelling.

  • 1st Place: RM200,000
  • 2nd Place: RM100,000
  • 3rd Place: RM70,000
  • 10 x Consolation Prizes: RM12,000 each

Student Creators League

For students who want to tell stories that reflect their world—fiction or nonfiction, raw or refined.

  • 1st Place: RM100,000
  • 2nd Place: RM50,000
  • 3rd Place: RM30,000
  • 15 x Consolation Prizes: RM5,000 each

Terms and Conditions

Know the Rules. Submit with Confidence.

  • All entries must be original and not previously published or submitted elsewhere.
  • Participants may submit multiple entries within a single category, but may not submit to both categories.
  • Entries must not contain hate speech, discriminatory content, profanity, nudity, pornographic or explicit sexual material, graphic violence, defamatory or libellous statements, or any content deemed illegal or inappropriate. Entries violating any applicable law or deemed inappropriate by Drama Byte will be disqualified.
  • Participants must ensure they have full rights to all visuals, music, and audio used in their submissions, and no visible branding should appear in the content. Any entry that infringes on intellectual property or other rights may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Drama Byte.
  • Participants under 18 must obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian. They are required to complete and submit the official Parent/Guardian Consent Form along with photocopies of both the parent/guardian’s and the participant’s NRIC as part of the contest submission.
  • By submitting an entry, participants grant Drama Byte the right to record, photograph, and use any performance, image, name, or submitted material for promotional, marketing, or archival purposes, including featuring the entry on the Do Drama app.
  • Entries will be judged based on 70% Judges’ Score and 30% Public Views on the Do Drama app during the official evaluation period.
  • Only entries that fully comply with all contest requirements will be eligible for consideration. Incomplete or non-compliant submissions will be automatically disqualified.
  • All winning entries, including consolation prizes, will be exclusive to Do Drama for a period of one (1) year. During this time, the content must not be published, distributed, or made available on any other platform or media outlet. After the one-year exclusivity period, creators may share their content elsewhere, as long as it remains available on Do Drama.
  • Production contracts may be offered to selected creators, including but not limited to prize winners. Evaluation will be based on talent, creativity, and the potential for future collaboration.
  • Prize winners may be required to verify their identity before prizes are awarded.
  • Participants acknowledge that they enter the competition at their own risk. Drama Byte will not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation.
  • Drama Byte reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to amend the contest rules, modify the contest format, or disqualify any submission. This includes the right to make changes to any part of the contest process, timeline, judging criteria, or prizes without prior notice, if deemed necessary.
